Welcome to Patchwork Valley and Rainy Day Quilt Studio, located in a beautiful river valley on the west side of the Cascade Mountains. My web site/online store was born from my love for fabric and all things quilty. I have been quilting since 1996 when I needed to come
up with a special commemorative something for my inlaws 50th anniversary. I have sewn most of my life and always loved quilts but never attempted one before this. I was inspired by my friend Nancy who faithfully makes a quilt for every graduation, wedding and new baby in her large extended family. There are so many beautiful fabrics and patterns that I know I will never have the time to make them
all into quilts. It gives me just as much joy to be able to offer the patterns, books and fabrics that I find so that you can create for fun,
decor, gifts or heirlooms. Because there are so many different beautiful fabrics available, I want to give you a chance to try out as many
as possible, so I will sell mostly fat quarter bundles, jelly rolls and 5 inch square charm packs.

About Our New Look
When I opened this website in December 2004, I had, had a lovely young couple design it for me, he did the graphics and she did the web design. Their schedule did not allow them the time to maintain and change things as often as I would like so I took it upon myself to learn how. As a result I have found that I REALLY enjoy the design and backstage aspect of the world wide web, so this new look is my creation. I've created it to be entertaining and user friendly. I would appreciate hearing what you think!
